I feel so special to have been tagged by Sarah Cooper that I’ve come out of hibernation and have decided to make a Ali-like comeback to blog posting.

EIGHT random facts.

1. My sister and I have the same birthday, two years apart. From the first day she was born, she began mercilessly copying everything that I do - everything from television shows (Sex and the City, Flight of the Conchords, Arrested Development) to random catch-phrases.
2. Everytime I start a new job I create a new AIM/Yahoo username so that I can easily compartmentalize my previous lives. For people who think I’ve fallen off the face of the planet, I’m currently available at dave.yang on Yahoo.
3. I named my dog after a character in a comic book. I can’t even remember which comic book or the character but I liked the name. My favorite comic book as a child was Superman so it’s probably from there.
4. I missed a perfect score on my Math SAT by 10 points for which my friends/family have never let me live down.
5. After reading the top 5 books on the Modern Library’s list of great American literature, I’m still sticking with my original choice of Great Gatsby as hands-down the best book there. I also like Lolita a lot. I’m one of those people that think Atlas Shrugged should be on the list that the real “intelligentsia” mock. As a side note, Marissa Mayer reminds me of a brought-to-life modern Dagny Taggart and if I was casting the up and coming movie, I’d put her on the short list WAY above Angelina Jolie.
6. I probably have more clothes than most women but I end up wearing about 15 pieces in rotation and let the rest sit unloved in my closet. On the shoes front I’m probably below average.
7. I’ve worked at Microsoft, AMD, IBM, Ernst and Young, Deloitte and Yahoo. I even got to interview Bill Gates for my college technology magazine.
8. I gave up drinking soda around February of 2007 when I was at Yahoo where one of the major perks is unlimited soda. I gave up buying new stuff around September of 2007 after reading Paul Graham’s post on Stuff and having to throw away most of my belongings when moving to New York City. My credit card is going to come out of retirement to buy myself a Macbook Pro whenever the Steveness decides to release a new one.
